This is the first step to raise awareness for Regional Sympathic Distrophy in Wales. Most people will know it is what Hugh Laurie (right) in House MD suffers from.
My mum has RSD and I have been frustrated by the lack of information and support available in Wales.
There seems to be so little information available for people in Wales suffering from Regional Sympathic Distrophy.
As those suffering from it know, it is a exscrutiating nerve pain caused by an injury that results in the nerve malfunctioning. The nerve then never stops sending pain signals. This results in constant pain which needs to be treated via a cocktail of pain killing drugs.
I hope anyone else suffering from this condition will post here and begin a discussion on how we go about raising the profile of this condition in Wales and the importance of information and support within the NHS and the wider community. Post here or email me RSDWALES@GOOGLEMAIL.COM

Hey!
I was just reading your post about RSD. Im 17 from Scotland and have sufered from RSD for 3 years now. I cant walk now due to the pain and it frustrates me that most docotrs i visit say "Whats rsd?" And when i explain, they reply with "right...?" I had no idea Hugh Laurie suffers from the condition! But i am sick of no-one knowing or giving a damn about what it is. Hopefully sometime soon something will be done.
All the best
Fiona
